*ROSIE

Hi, my name is *ROSIE

The Animal Foundation Team is getting to know me.

My Special Considerations

*Rosie is not adapting well in a kennel at the shelter and is exhibiting barrier frustration towards team members and other stimuli. When she first arrived to the shelter, *Rosie is growling and hard barking at the kennel front. Staff was able to leash while giving treat, otherwise she would avoid the leash. Out of the kennel she had a tense body the entire time while side eyeing and flinching when handling. In the past few days she has made progress, she is now quiet in the kennel, approaches for leashing and treats and tolerates all handling. She remains tense while handling and flinches when team members move too quickly. She is very treat motivated. This animal would benefit from a calmer environment and training to be able to cope with changing environments and kenneling. This animal needs placement by 5/19
